PEARLS is an EU funded ERASMUS project. The coordinator of this strategic partnership, Turkey. Belgium, Italy, Lithuania and Romania are the partner countries.
The aim of this project is to increase the achievement of mathematics and English courses in high school students between the ages of 15-19.
In contrast to traditional teaching methods in the classroom, it is the preferred method of this project to maintain learning outside the classroom and use cooperative learning techniques. Peer learning is one of the methods we take center. We encourage students to lecture each other both in school and through digital platforms. In this way, we will support other forms of learning, active and reflective learning.
In summary, the name of our project consists of the abbreviation of the names of the learning methods we prefer to use:
Peer Education Active and Reflective Learning Strategies.
This name, beyond being an abbreviation, emphasizes that every student is a pearl Each student is a pearl and as we emphasized in our slogan:
“a pearl contains an ocean”
